How it works
- Drop the Reel video.
- Press Make captions. The bold style is selected for you.
- Edit, then Burn into video and upload the MP4 to Instagram.
Instagram has its own caption sticker, and it is fine for a quick post. Its text style is limited and it makes mistakes you fix one word at a time on a phone. Here you fix the list on a keyboard, then render.
The bold preset puts short bursts of capitalized text in the middle lower part of the frame, above where Instagram draws the username and caption. Yellow is better when your footage is bright.
If by Reels captions you mean the post text under the video, press TXT to get a transcript to pick lines from.
Questions
Does it work on a phone?
Short clips do, on a recent phone. A laptop is faster for the burn step.
Will Instagram recompress it?
It always does. Upload the highest quality file you have and the text stays readable.
